The Fall

Crunching leaves, wonderful breezes, and beautiful colors are what we see when Fall has arrived. Many people look forward to this time of the year. For cooler days and not so summer nights. Loving the Fall Festivals, harvests, and other celebrations and special events that come with the Fall season.

The First Fall

The first "Fall" took place many years ago the Bible states.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1

When God created the heaven and the earth he also created mankind in His own image. At first, everything was perfect. Until the "fall." Adam and Eve lived with God in the Garden of Eden and had a close fellowship with Him. But this did not last long as they were tempted by Satan to eat the forbidden fruit.

"But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die." Genesis 3:3

"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." Genesis 3:6

Once Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and disobeyed God, they fell from innocence into sin which resulting in the separation from God.

The Bad News

The bad news is that we have all fallen just like Adam and Eve. The destination for every person in this world is death. We have no hope unless we receive help, we cannot save ourselves from sin or death.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Ephesians 2:8

"Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:9

"That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:" Ephesians 2:12

The Good News

The good news is that we have help available to us through God. God loves us so much that he sent his only son to die for us, to endure the punishment that we deserve. Jesus then rose from the dead offering us forgiveness and eternal life for all those that believe in Him.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

God is reaching down from Heaven with open arms to lift you up from your fall. All you have to do is have faith in Him, accept His gift of salvation, and he will save you from eternal damnation.

"And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:40

What will you do today?
